Boniface Mwangi is a Kenyan politician, photojournalist, and social-political activist. He is known for his images of the post-election violence that hit Kenya in 2007-2008.
A Kenyan pilot in the US spotted Boniface Mwangi’s photo on an Apple billboard and posted it on his Twitter page saying, “The first person I saw today when I drove into San Francisco is my boy Boniface Mwangi on a huge Apple billboard!”
Boniface saw the tweet and responded to it saying, “These unedited images that I shot with my phone have gotten so much love. I was Apple’s face for their commercials. My Ted talk has over 1.49 million views. I’m a dope photographer with over 2 million followers on all my handles. I’m available as a brand ambassador and for my photography gigs.”

However, some people regard Boniface endorsement into businesses as a bad move for him, since it will lead to a conflict of interest.
