Twitter has announced that it is working on a feature that allows you to watch Youtube videos on a tweet without leaving the app.
Currently, when a user clicks a Youtube link on a tweet, they are automatically redirected to the Youtube page where they can watch the video.
This can be frustrating for users who do not want to leave Twitter, but watch the video right there and continue scrolling down for more information.
The microblogging site has announced that the feature on the test will be available for a small number of users. This small group of users will be identified from 4 countries namely; Canada, the US, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
“Starting today on iOS, we’re testing a way to watch YouTube videos directly in your Home timeline, without leaving the conversation on Twitter.” The company said yesterday via a tweet
Other than this feature, the company is also testing a feature to allow users to upload and view 4K images on both Android and IOS.
Have a collection of higher res photos waiting to be shared? We’re testing ways for you to upload and view 4K images on Android and iOS.
If you're in the test, update your high-quality image preferences in “Data usage” settings to get started. pic.twitter.com/EgW5fsb8Z8

Users in this test are required to update the image quality preference on their settings in order to enable high-quality images.
This not only improves how a user can view media on a tweet but also how they can share it.
