Here’s what happened: a blog post accidentally surfaced in one of Microsoft’s GitHub repositories. It openly revealed that GPT-5 would be available on the GitHub Models platform. The post was quickly deleted, but not before the internet took notice. As a result, we now know not just the release date, but also the full lineup.
What’s New with GPT-5?
Described as OpenAI’s most advanced model to date, GPT-5 brings major upgrades in logic, code generation, reasoning, and the kind of autonomous functionality AI enthusiasts have been hoping for.
