Vivo is preparing to unveil its new X300 lineup this September in China, which will include three models: the compact X300, the larger X300 Pro, and the anticipated X300 Ultra.
The company appears eager to showcase its latest innovations without waiting for the end of the year. Recent certifications in China confirm that devices with the model numbers V2502A/DA and V2509A are nearly ready for release.
What the certifications reveal
- V2502A and V2502DA have both been approved by China’s MIIT regulator.
- The DA version will support Beidou-3 satellite messaging, while the standard A model will not.
- All models are expected to run on Android 16 with OriginOS 6.
- A battery rated at 6,375 mAh has also been listed in the filings.
Powering the series: MediaTek Dimensity 9500
The highlight of the lineup is the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, which will be officially introduced on September 22. Vivo will be the first manufacturer to bring this chipset to market in a consumer smartphone.
Rumors suggest:
- The Vivo X300 will feature a compact 6.3-inch display—a rare size in 2025.
- The X300 Pro will come with a larger 6.8-inch screen, appealing to users who prefer near-tablet dimensions.
What about the Ultra?
Behind the scenes, speculation surrounds the Vivo X300 Ultra. Early whispers point to a possible 2026 release, equipped with Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. However, it remains uncertain whether this model will ever make it beyond the Chinese market.
Global availability
According to leaks, the X300 and X300 Pro are expected to launch internationally shortly after their Chinese debut. The X300 Ultra, on the other hand, might remain a China-exclusive device.
