Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Note 15 Pro, the latest addition to its mid-range Note 15 lineup. Positioned between the standard and Plus editions, the new model delivers notable upgrades while still carrying a few trade-offs.
The standout feature is its 7,000 mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in mainstream smartphones. This positions the device as a strong contender for users seeking extended endurance away from a power outlet. However, charging speed is limited to 45W, significantly slower than the 90W support found on the higher-end Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor, offering a balance of performance and efficiency for everyday use. On the front, it sports a 6.83-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1280 pixels, a peak brightness of 3,200 nits, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 3,840 Hz PWM dimming — specifications usually reserved for flagship devices.
The camera setup remains unchanged from its predecessor. It includes a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor, a 20 MP front-facing camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro shooter.
In China, the Redmi Note 15 Pro starts at $195 for the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant. The handset is available in four finishes: Azure Blue, Cedar White, Midnight Black, and Yunxia Purple.
With the Note 15 Pro, Xiaomi once again aims to strike a balance between affordability and premium features. Still, the modest 45W charging speed is likely to spark debate among users who prioritize fast power top-ups.
