Honor’s next flagship smartphone has left a spectacular impression in benchmark tests, indicating that it will be a powerful new entry in the premium device segment.
One of the Honor Magic 8 Pro’s aliases, BKQ-AN90, was the model that went to the Geekbench test, where it set a new record by outperforming all previous entries. The handset has Android 16 as its operating system and Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (SM8850) processor, along with 16 GB of RAM, is in charge of the computing part. This pairing positions this device as one of the strongest in the history of the tests.
In the results of the single-core and multi-core tests of the Magic 8 Pro, respectively, the scores were 3,634 and 10,813, both of which are the highest scores until now for a smartphone.
In contrast, the scores for single-core and multi-core tests of the Magic 7 Pro from last year were 3,050 and 9,019, respectively. This equates to something roughly close to a 20% performance increase, which is indicative not only of the better calibration but also of the effectiveness of the new Qualcomm chipset.
Some performance-related matters, however, are only the tip of the iceberg. Rumors have it that the Magic 8 Pro will be equipped with a 2x 200 MP camera system. (If this is true, it would be a major milestone in the history of the Honor Magic family.) Also, the phone might come with a special AI button that, by virtue of this innovation, could become a new wearable trend.
As per the information leaked from various sources and industry experts, the Honor Magic 8 family is likely to be unveiled somewhere around the middle of October. All the rumors and insiders are in agreement that this is not simply a step forward, rather, it is a declaration of a new course by Honor.
