Google has released Android 16 QPR1 Beta 3.1, an update focused entirely on bug fixes rather than new features. While no fresh functions are added, the patch clears a long list of frustrating issues that many Pixel users have faced.
For instance, Pixel devices will no longer restart unexpectedly due to Wi-Fi glitches. The media player on the lock screen will stop vanishing at random, and notifications in the shade will no longer overlap like rush-hour passengers in a crowded bus. Google has also fixed strange graphic errors on foldables, quirks with the ambient light sensor, and even a bug that caused text input to suddenly stop working.
The update, marked build number BP31.250610.009.009.A1, is rolling out to all Pixel devices from the Pixel 6 onwards. With the stable release expected on September 3, Beta 3.1 may well be the final test version before Android 16 QPR1 goes official.
In short, Google is tightening the screws, clearing the clutter, and making sure the road to release is as smooth as possible.
