As OPPO prepares to unveil the Find X9 series this October, anticipation is already mounting for its standout model the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, expected to launch in the first half of 2026. A recent leak from an industry insider suggests the device will feature a significant redesign, underlining OPPO’s push to lead in display innovation and performance.
Unlike its predecessor, the Find X8 Ultra, which came with a high-end 2K diamond-pattern display, adaptive refresh rates, and OPPO’s in-house P2 display chip, the upcoming Find X9 Ultra is currently being tested with a new 1.5K LIPO ultra-narrow flat screen. This advanced panel is built using the LIPO (Liquid Polymer) packaging process, a method that encases the wiring area of the display in liquid polymer materials. By removing the traditional buffer protection zone, OPPO has managed to create exceptionally thin bezels, enhancing both the aesthetic and the immersive viewing experience.
The LIPO technique also offers improved durability and uniformity over older COG (Chip on Glass) and COF (Chip on Film) methods. However, it requires more advanced manufacturing equipment and stricter cleanroom conditions, positioning it as a premium albeit more expensive technology.
Internally, the Find X9 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. This next-generation platform is expected to deliver major improvements in AI performance, imaging, and overall speed. With bold steps in both hardware and engineering, OPPO is positioning the Find X9 Ultra as one of the defining flagship smartphones of 2026.
